Why We Bought the Car
We sourced this exceptional 2018 Audi A6 50 TDI for our client. The story behind it is very interesting, as we spotted this highly optioned, Czech-registered A6 on a local listing, but most buyers were passing it up because it was fitted with a set of relatively unattractive wheels from a previous-generation A6. Recognizing the vehicle's incredible spec, we reached out to the owner anyway—and uncovered a brilliant backstory. He had purchased the car directly from Audi at low mileage, making him effectively the first private owner. Better yet, logistics lined up flawlessly: the seller happened to be traveling right past the buyer's house on an unrelated trip. He drove the A6 directly to our client's doorstep, allowing for a comprehensive home test drive without anyone having to travel to the Czech Republic. The deal was finalized instantly; all the seller had to do was catch a flight home, while we later picked up the car from Czechia. To make the transaction even sweeter, we secured it at a VAT-deductible €32,000—an absolute steal for a car that originally stickered at over €100,000.

THE CONDITION
Clocking in at a highly respectable 134,000 km, this 2018 Audi A6 is in absolutely excellent condition. It was configured from the factory in the elegant "Design" trim line, trading aggressive body kits for pure, understated flagship luxury. Inside, the cabin is an incredibly plush environment. The previously mentioned wheels from the previous generation A6 were only the winter wheels, the summer tires were mounted on gorgeous 20-inch multispoke Audi wheels. The non-S-line Alcantara sport seats are paired with an extended leather package that wraps the entire dashboard, beautifully accented by tactile, premium aluminum glass-look control buttons and an aluminum race style trim. The only issue the car had was that a part of the dashboard leather glue got melted, meaning that the leather had to be re-stretched, which was a simple fix. True to the typical ownership experience of an early C8-generation mild-hybrid Audi, the car did develop an electrical gremlin a couple of months after purchase. It was traced back to the notorious mild-hybrid starter-alternator (BSG) component. However, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise: because Audi recognized this common fault and extended the factory warranty specifically for this part, our client received a brand-new, free warranty replacement at an authorized Audi dealership on a nearly 8-year-old car. Mechanically fully sorted and driving softly, yet sharp thanks to the adaptive air suspension and dynamic options, this A6 served as the flawless daily cruiser before paving the way for the client's eventual upgrade to the S6.
